Saga Travel is an award-winning travel business at the heart of the Saga brand. Founded in 1951 by Sidney De Haan, Saga Travel offers a diverse range of travel experiences to older adults, providing holidays in more than 100 countries and islands globally, from relaxing hotel stays to active adventures. The Travel business is also recognised by the wider travel industry through The Globe and British Travel Awards.

IMPACT

The Saga Travel CEO asked me to join their travel division for several months working in a product consulting capacity.

After six weeks of research and discovery work I facilitated a strategy workshop for the group to illustrate the huge opportunities in the booking funnel worth £4M pa.

Within four months I had led multivariate testing campaigns to improve the UX in the selection process of the funnel, and delivered statistically significant uplifts in booking conversion that earned an additional £3.5M ARR.

Several courses of deep data analysis also exposed product inventory opportunities, with trading and operations projects outlined and estimated to be worth over £2M pa.
